A suspected thief has been apprehended for allegedly stealing worshippers’ shoes during prayers at a mosque in Hadejia, Jigawa State.
Reports indicate that the suspect had been carrying out similar thefts across several mosques over an extended period.
A witness, Muhammed Sani Yusuf, stated that the latest incident took place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at a mosque located along Maje Road.
He added that the total number of shoes stolen by the suspect remains unknown.
