The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under the Joint Task Force of Operation HADIN KAI, has struck another terrorist enclave at Abbaga Jiri in the Timbuktu Triangle on January 8.
In a statement, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the operation was carefully planned to degrade terrorist capabilities, deny them safe havens, and shape the battlespace for advancing ground forces. He noted that the mission was executed in strict compliance with established rules of engagement and with due regard for the protection of non-combatants.
Ejodame added that the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the successful strike as a reflection of the Nigerian Air Force’s determination to maintain air dominance in support of joint operations, while delivering precise and decisive airpower to assist ground troops.
Reaffirming the NAF’s stance, Air Marshal Aneke stressed that air operations would continue relentlessly, guided by credible intelligence.
