The Niger state government has declared a public holiday from Monday to Friday next week.
Governor Mohammed Umar Bago announced the decision, emphasizing that the holiday aims to facilitate the distribution of palliatives and Ramadan feeding across the state. This measure aligns with the government’s commitment to alleviating the economic challenges faced by the people.
According to a statement released by the Commissioner of Information, Honorable Binta Mamman, the holiday will enable Civil Servants and Political office holders to actively participate in the distribution and monitoring of the palliatives and Ramadan feeding in their respective local government areas.
Furthermore, Civil Servants and Political office holders are urged to perceive this responsibility as a noble call to serve humanity.
