“One Injured in Bomb Explosion at Abuja Bus Stop”

A bomb explosion occurred today, May 26, at the Mararaba-Nyanya bypass, injuring one person.

According to police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh, officers received a distress call shortly after the blast. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit was immediately dispatched to the scene.

The affected area was quickly secured and cordoned off to allow for clearance and investigation, ensuring the safety of commuters and nearby residents.

“One male victim was rescued from the scene and rushed to the hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment,” Adeh confirmed.

She added that a thorough investigation, including detailed forensic analysis, is underway to determine the exact cause and nature of the explosion.

Adeh urged the public to remain calm and continue with their daily activities, assuring that there is no cause for panic at this time.
