The Nigeria Police Force Lagos State Command has apprehended Olaseinde Ojo, a suspected armed robber and kidnapper at Post Office Isokoko, who adopts the guise of a lunatic to prey on unsuspecting victims for robbery or abduction.
According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, another arrest was made along Dolphin Bridge, where police operatives intercepted a dispatch rider identified as Samson Shina ‘m’ in possession of a locally made pistol and charms.
The statement reads, “The operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, in their relentless effort to combat crimes and criminal activities across the country, have achieved significant milestones in various areas. It is our duty as the primary Security Agency in Nigeria to keep the public informed about our efforts to curb crime in society and educate Nigerians about the various tactics employed by criminals to prevent them.
For instance, our operatives in Lagos State and FCT Command have intensified their operational strategies and successfully arrested several criminals involved in heinous crimes. Among them is the arrest of Olaseinde Ojo ‘m’, a suspected armed robber and kidnapper at Post Office, Isokoko, who disguises himself as a lunatic to approach his victims and carry out robbery or kidnapping.
He further added, “Operatives of the FCT command, during a stop-and-search operation around Taxi Park area, Abuja, intercepted a motorcycle carrying three passengers, including Usman Musa ‘m’ and two others, and discovered a locally fabricated Beretta pistol with 11 rounds of live ammunition in their possession. A search conducted in their premises also led to the recovery of $5,800 fake dollar notes and other incriminating items.
With the growing concerns about personal safety, the Nigeria Police urges citizens to remain vigilant and prioritize their security. Recent reports have highlighted various incidents, including thefts, defilement, and assaults. It is crucial for individuals to take proactive measures, such as being alert to their surroundings, especially in unfamiliar areas, and avoiding isolated or poorly lit places, especially at night.
Furthermore, the public is encouraged to secure their belongings and promptly report any suspicious activities to the authorities. By staying vigilant and cautious, everyone can contribute to creating a safer society for all, and we will not be deceived by the tactics of criminals.”
