
The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, has summoned suspended Governor Siminialayi Fubara and his Deputy, Dr. Ngozi Ordu, to appear before him for an official inquiry into appointments made during their administration over the last two years.
According to a statement released on April 15 by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika, Governor Fubara has been directed to present all relevant records and documentation relating to appointments made during his tenure, including the justifications and processes followed.
“The session will also provide the suspended Governor an opportunity to offer a detailed explanation as to why he believes he should be reinstated to office,” the statement read.
Both Fubara and Dr. Ordu are expected to appear in person at 10 a.m. on April 18 at the Conference Room of the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt. Attendance has been described as mandatory.
The statement added that the inquiry is part of the Sole Administrator’s broader effort to restore transparency, accountability, and lasting peace in the governance of Rivers State.
