Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have announced their separation after nearly 14 years of marriage and over two decades together.

The couple shared the news on their Instagram Stories on Friday evening, April 5.

Accompanied by a photo of themselves in tennis attire, they wrote: “After a lengthy tennis match spanning over twenty years, we are finally hanging up our racquets.” They disclosed that they “jointly filed for divorce” in 2023.

“We have always valued our privacy and have been quietly navigating this transition,” they added. “We continue to share unwavering love and commitment to our children.” Baron Cohen, 52, and Fisher, 48, met in 2001 and became engaged three years later. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in October 2007.

Fisher converted to Judaism before their October 2010 wedding in Paris.

Their second and third children were born in the summer of 2010 and March 2015, respectively.

Baron Cohen has recently been in the spotlight due to a dispute with former co-star Rebel Wilson. The duo starred together in the 2016 spy action comedy Grimsby, with Wilson portraying Cohen’s girlfriend.

In her new memoir, Wilson described feeling as though the actor “sexually harassed” her during filming.
