The Super Eagles of Nigeria dominated a local football club in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with a commanding 12-0 victory in a friendly match on Sunday, January 7.

Under the guidance of coach Jose Peseiro, the team took a commanding 6-0 lead at halftime, with Ademola Lookman netting four goals and Victor Osimhen securing a brace. In the second half, substitute Moses Simon contributed two goals, while captain Ahmed Musa and Umar Sadiq also added their names to the scoresheet.

Adding to the scoreline, the opposing club unintentionally scored two own goals during the game.

The Super Eagles are now gearing up for their next friendly against the Syli Nationale of Guinea at the Yani Abas Stadium on Monday, which will be held behind closed doors. Following the friendly, the team will head to Abidjan on Wednesday for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
