Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested 14 additional suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in Borno State, as part of ongoing operations targeting insurgent support networks.
Twelve of the suspects were apprehended on Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2026, at Gubio market in Gubio Local Government Area during an intelligence-led operation supported by a covert informant.
In a separate operation, troops working alongside operatives of the Joint Intelligence Fusion Centre (JIFC) arrested two more suspects in Gubio town. The individuals, identified as Mal Bunu Gojemi and Zanna Alhaji Mallam, were captured around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday during a coordinated effort to disrupt terrorist supply chains.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects had long been involved in providing logistics to Boko Haram. Items recovered from them included three mobile phones, a traditional cap, and N40,000 in cash. They have since been handed over to JIFC operatives for further investigation.
Military sources said the operations were carried out smoothly without any incidents.
With these latest arrests, the number of suspected terrorist logisticians, couriers, and informants detained over the past week has risen to 53, reflecting intensified efforts by the theatre command to dismantle supply networks supporting Boko Haram and ISWAP in the North-East.
According to the source, the sustained operations are significantly disrupting terrorist logistics chains and contributing to a relatively calm—though still unpredictable—security situation in the region. Troops, the source added, remain highly motivated and committed to denying insurgents access to essential supplies and freedom of movement.
