Troops apprehend suspected Boko Haram informant in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected Boko Haram informant in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.

The arrest was carried out following credible intelligence on individuals allegedly aiding terrorist operations in the area.

Security sources said troops of the 29 Task Force Brigade, working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), apprehended the suspect, identified as Bulama Modu, at Shauri village in the Mainok axis around 9:10 a.m. on March 26, 2026.

Items recovered from him include a Tecno mobile phone, charms, and N5,700 in cash.

The suspect and the recovered items are currently in custody for further investigation, as security agencies step up efforts to dismantle informant networks supporting insurgency in the North-East.
