The Niger State Police Command has apprehended two suspected vandals, Idris Garba (21) and Saifullahi Alkasim (28), for attempting to vandalize electric transformer cables in Minna.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, the suspects—both residents of Alagbado, Minna—were caught in the act by operatives from ‘B’ Division on the morning of September 1, 2025. Two other accomplices managed to escape.
“The suspects were arrested around 6 a.m. at a transformer site in the area. They have since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Minna for further investigation and prosecution,” the statement read.
