Two worshippers lost their lives when bandits forcefully invaded a mosque in Kaduna State.

Bandits reportedly attacked a mosque during Friday prayers in Anguwar Makera, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the death of two worshippers. The incident occurred around 2 pm on Friday, March 8. According to the community leader, Hudu Kwasakwasa, the bandits opened fire on worshippers, killing two individuals and abducting others. The victims were laid to rest at the Old Kuyello cemetery. Kwasakwasa explained that the worshippers were attacked during the second raka’at of the salat, prompting others to flee for safety. Additionally, the bandits abducted nine people from Angwar Kanawa community. Kwasakwasa called for urgent intervention from relevant authorities, expressing concern over the escalating banditry in the area. This incident occurred shortly after the abduction of over 287 students in neighboring Chikun Local Government Area.
