Victor Osimhen Agrees to Move to Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal Contract

Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal, paving the way for a potential move.

Osimhen had previously walked away from negotiations after his demand for a €40 million-per-year salary was not met. However, recent reports suggest a contract worth €30 million per year over four years has now been agreed upon.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed that Osimhen’s deal with Al Hilal includes a base salary equivalent to $35 million (£29m/€40m) annually, with additional bonuses expected. Despite the breakthrough with the player, Al Hilal and Napoli have yet to reach an agreement on the transfer fee. According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Al Hilal’s best offer stands at €70 million (£59m/$80m), while Napoli is holding out for €75 million (£63m/$86m).

Negotiations over the transfer fee are ongoing.

If Al Hilal can finalize the deal before the mini-transfer window closes on June 10, Osimhen would be eligible to represent the club at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

This development is a significant setback for Turkish champions Galatasaray, who had been keen to keep Osimhen following his impressive loan spell. The striker scored 37 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions during his time with the club.
