The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has recorded a comfortable victory in his home state, Adamawa.
He defeated his main challengers, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party by a wide margin in Saturday’s presidential election.
The PDP candidate polled a total of 417,611 votes as against Tinubu’s 182,881 votes and Obi’s 105,645 votes. Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) came a distant fourth with 8,006.
According to the collation officer in the state, Prof. Mohammed Mele, a total of 764,834 voters were accredited out of the 2,186,465 total of registered voters.
