The Edo State Government clarified that it is not involved in any legal dispute with Oba Ewuare II, the revered Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo.
Despite circulating rumors suggesting otherwise on social media, Crusoe Osagie, the Special Adviser (media projects) to Governor Godwin Obaseki, dismissed these reports. He urged residents of the state and the public to ignore the misinformation.
According to Osagie, the claims are entirely fabricated and false. He emphasized that the Edo State Government is not initiating any legal action against the esteemed Royal Father. Instead, the government is named as a defendant in the referenced legal matter, indicating that it is the one being sued.
Osagie reaffirmed the government’s amicable relationship with the Royal Palace and its deep respect for Oba Ewuare II. He stated that the government holds the monarch in high esteem.
