The Federal Government has stated that Nigeria’s healthcare sector has seen significant improvements, now attracting patients not only from the West African subregion but also from countries as far as the United States and the United Kingdom.
Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, made this announcement while addressing State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which was chaired by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, February 4.
“People are now beginning to come from the subregion, and even from distant places like the UK and the US, to receive quality healthcare in Nigeria. Despite the challenges we face, we are making substantial progress, and the transformation promised by President Tinubu is already taking shape,” he said.
