U.S. President Donald Trump is set to attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9, as confirmed by a White House official to NBC News.

The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles at 6:30 p.m. ET, marking the Chiefs’ third consecutive Super Bowl appearance. Trump’s attendance would make him the first sitting U.S. president to be present at a Super Bowl.

In addition to attending the game, Trump is expected to sit for an interview with Bret Baier on Fox News. The interview will be pre-recorded at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, and will air during the Fox pregame show at 3 p.m. ET.

Trump has made several public football appearances recently, including delivering a virtual address during the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on January 20 and attending a Jets-Steelers game in Pittsburgh in October.

This marks the first time in three years that a U.S. president has agreed to a network interview for Super Bowl pregame coverage. President Joe Biden declined interviews with both Fox News and CBS News in 2023 and 2024.
