Operatives from the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) Ikosi-Isheri Command have arrested 42-year-old Ademola Oyekan for alleged impersonation and assault.

According to a statement from the agency, the arrest followed a tip-off from a community member. After conducting an intelligence operation to verify the information, a special team raided an apartment in Magodo Phase 2, where they found the suspect assaulting one Deborah Nifemi Fafore.

Fafore, the victim, accused Oyekan of being a serial abuser who uses fake identities to defraud women.

The suspect was found in possession of a poorly fabricated Identification Card, purportedly from the Obas of Chieftaincy family, with an address linking him to the Lagos traditional palace, suggesting he was a member of the Royal Family.

However, initial investigations and inquiries with the Oyekan family revealed that the suspect was not affiliated with the prominent Oba Oyekan family.

The suspect later admitted that he was not a member of the family and revealed his real name as “Muri.” He has since been transferred to the Isheri Police Station for further investigation and potential prosecution.
