The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has described himself as a “proud agent” of President Bola Tinubu, reaffirming his commitment to supporting the president’s efforts to tackle the nation’s challenges caused by past governance failures.

Wike made the statement during the official flag-off of the construction of the Northern Parkway, which will connect Ring Road II to Ring Road III in Abuja.

He called on Nigerians to continue backing President Tinubu, praising the president’s dedication to national development and improved welfare.

“Support those who are working to deliver results. President Tinubu is doing well and is fully committed to improving the welfare of this country. He is determined to take Nigeria to where it ought to be,” Wike said.

Acknowledging the current economic hardships, Wike urged citizens to remain patient as the administration’s reforms take root.

“When you’re emerging from a difficult period, it’s natural to feel impatient. Many didn’t realize just how bad things had become. Now, someone is trying to fix it. I know people are eager for quick results, but I ask for continued patience,” he said.

Reiterating his loyalty to the president, Wike stated, “We are the agents of Mr. President, and we are very proud agents—very proud indeed. We are part of the team working hard to bring about real change.”
