On the night of Wednesday, September 24, the FBI announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, a Nigerian national wanted for Violation of Conditions of Release.
Adediran became a fugitive in late December 2001, fleeing the Central District of Illinois just before his federal trial was set to begin. He faces multiple charges, including Bank Fraud, Identification Document Fraud, and Credit Card Fraud—serious offenses that point to his alleged involvement in organized financial crimes targeting individuals and institutions.
The charge of Violation of Conditions of Release stems from Adediran’s decision to flee while awaiting trial, despite having been released under court-imposed conditions. This act underscores his classification as a high flight risk who deliberately evaded the judicial process.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on Adediran’s whereabouts to come forward. The FBI emphasizes that tips leading to his arrest and conviction could qualify for the $10,000 reward.
