Temi Otedola has shared that she and her husband, Mr Eazi, discovered they were expecting their first child during their honeymoon last year.

The couple announced the pregnancy on Instagram on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

In an exclusive interview with People, the 30-year-old actress revealed that they surprised family and friends with ultrasound photos to share the exciting news.

“We are beyond excited to start our family and welcome a little one to our cocoon of two. We’re feeling extremely blessed and grateful for this big next step,” she said.

Temi explained that after celebrating three weddings in 2025 — a court ceremony in Monaco, a traditional Nigerian wedding in Dubai, and a church wedding in Iceland — the couple embarked on a two-month digital detox honeymoon across South Korea and Japan, where they discovered the pregnancy.

According to Temi, sharing the news with loved ones has been one of the most memorable parts of the journey.

“It’s been the greatest news to share,” she said. “With our family and friends spread across different continents, we tried to tell as many people as possible in person by surprising them with ultrasound printouts. I also celebrated my 30th birthday in March in Mallorca, where I got to tell many of my closest friends.”

Although the couple has chosen not to reveal the baby’s gender yet, Temi said they are already discussing possible names.

“My husband and I constantly send each other baby names on WhatsApp,” she shared. “We’ve also asked our parents for suggestions, which is part of Nigerian tradition.”

The actress also opened up about her pregnancy experience, admitting that the first trimester came with fatigue and constant morning sickness. However, she says she has recently been feeling stronger and more energetic.

Temi added that pregnancy has helped her embrace a slower pace of life after years of being constantly on the move.

“I love how pregnancy forces you to slow down. I’ve been easing up on my routine, focusing more on my priorities and reflecting inward,” she said. “It’s also such a beautiful time to be surrounded by loved ones and celebrate new life.”
