Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz has backed teammate Harry Kane to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Diaz and Kane are among the 30 players shortlisted for the prestigious individual award, with the winner set to be announced next month in London.
Speaking to Sky Sport Germany, Diaz said Kane deserves the award, describing him as one of the best players in the world and praising his consistency over the years.
“I have noticed several people have talked about this [2026 Ballon d’Or], and every opinion deserves respect,” Diaz said.
“From my point of view, Harry must be the Ballon d’Or winner because he is one of the best players in the world and has proven this for a very long time. Also, his performance last season was simply incredible.”
