Adamawa Police Command Arrests Man For Allegedly Beheading Woman In Hotel

A yet-to-be-identified middle-aged woman was allegedly beheaded by a man inside a hotel room in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The incident reportedly occurred on Friday afternoon, August 14, 2026, at Novex Hotel, where the suspect was said to have checked in with the woman.

According to sources, people at the hotel heard sounds of a struggle coming from the room and rushed to investigate. They reportedly forced their way into the room and found the woman lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut to her neck.

The woman’s remains were evacuated from the hotel to an undisclosed hospital, while the suspect was reportedly arrested by the police.

The spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident and said a suspect had been taken into custody in connection with the alleged crime.

He said the command had commenced a full investigation into the incident and would provide further details as the investigation progresses.

Nguroje also urged members of the public to remain calm, refrain from jungle justice and allow the police to conduct their investigation.
