After their arrest in Bauchi, suspected phone snatchers attempted to offer a bribe of N78,000 to the investigating officer.

Two suspects, Suleiman Habibu and Atiku Mohammed, were apprehended in Bauchi State for their involvement in phone theft. The Bauchi State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, revealed in a statement on Sunday, February 18, that the suspects attempted to bribe the investigating officer with N78,000 after their arrest.

According to the statement, the suspects, residents of Jahun Area in Bauchi metropolis, were found in possession of nine mobile phones reportedly stolen from various locations in Gombe state.
