Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the upcoming Anambra State governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025, has reportedly been shot by unidentified gunmen in Abuja.
According to Vanguard, the attack took place on the night of Friday, July 18, near Wuse 2, as Ezenwafor was returning home from an appointment. He sustained serious gunshot injuries during the ambush.
Ezenwafor, a prominent real estate developer based in Abuja, is currently receiving medical treatment at a private hospital, where doctors are preparing to perform surgery to remove bullets lodged in his body.
Two other individuals who were with him at the time of the attack were also injured and are receiving treatment.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the identities of the attackers have yet to be determined. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
