Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that it has stopped processing transactions involving 17 crypto-asset service providers and platforms following recent regulatory developments.
In a notice to users on Saturday, the exchange listed the affected entities and the dates the restrictions would take effect, noting that the measures would be implemented in phases.
Binance did not specify the regulatory developments behind the restrictions, which affect platforms operating across several countries.
The restrictions began on August 7 for Shelbit General Trading LLC, which operates in the UAE and Iran, and Aban Tether Exchange in Iran.
From August 13, the restrictions were extended to Nigeria-based A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa and PilotFinance Ltd.
Beginning August 23, Binance said the measures would cover Rapira and Aifory Pro (Sooty Ltd.) in Georgia; ABCeX (Nueva Cryptologia S.A.S DE C.V.), linked to El Salvador and Georgia; Belarus-based WhiteBird and Tradex (Brightum LLC); and internationally operated NoOnecrypto INC.
Other affected platforms include UK-based Monease Ltd; BitPapa in the UAE; Exnode and Exnode Pay (Arvix) in Georgia; HTX (Huobi Global SA), founded in China; and EXMO Ltd, which operates in the UK and Europe.
Binance instructed users not to directly or indirectly send funds to, receive funds from or conduct transactions through the exchange involving any of the listed entities after their respective effective dates.
The company warned that transactions attempted after the specified dates could be held for compliance reviews, while affected wallets may also face restrictions during the review process. It added that such activity could potentially violate its terms of use.
Binance further advised users not to disclose or share their wallet addresses with third parties or platforms in ways that could link them to the restricted service providers.
The exchange warned that exposing wallet addresses could increase users’ vulnerability to dusting attacks or unauthorised account activity.
Binance said the measures were necessary to comply with regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions where it operates and to help maintain a secure environment for users and their assets.
Users seeking clarification were advised to contact Binance’s customer support team.
