Nigerian singer Candy Bleakz has opened up about her sexuality, revealing that she identifies as demisexual.
In a video shared online, the singer said she often gets questions about her personal life, particularly her sexuality. She noted that people are usually intrigued when she tells them she is demisexual.
“I also get a lot of questions around my sexuality, and when I tell them I am demisexual, they are also intrigued. I don’t know why. Can’t I be demisexual?” she said.
Demisexuality is a sexual orientation on the asexual spectrum in which a person typically experiences sexual attraction only after developing a strong emotional connection with someone.
Unlike primary sexual attraction, which can occur based on factors such as physical appearance, voice, or first impressions, demisexual attraction generally develops over time through emotional closeness, trust, and a deeper personal connection.
