Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly spent between $7 million and $8 million on legal fees during his nearly two-year federal criminal case, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The reported costs covered a high-profile legal team that included trial and appellate attorneys Marc Agnifilo, Teny Geragos, Brian Steel and Nicole Westmoreland, who represented the music mogul from the time of his arrest in New York in September 2024.
Combs was charged in a federal indictment with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.
After an eight-week trial in 2025, the jury acquitted him of the racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges but convicted him on two counts of violating the Mann Act by transporting individuals across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.
In October 2025, a federal judge sentenced Combs to 50 months in prison. He is currently serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
Recent reports also claim that Combs was briefly placed in solitary confinement following an altercation with another inmate. Sources alleged the disagreement escalated into a physical confrontation before prison staff stepped in to restore order.
Neither prison officials nor Combs’ legal team have publicly commented on the reported incident.
