The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha festival.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday, June 2, by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government. He extended his congratulations to the Muslim Ummah both in Nigeria and across the diaspora on the occasion of the Islamic celebration.
Tunji-Ojo urged Muslims to reflect on the values of sacrifice and unwavering faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him), and to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria.
