Super Eagles and Victor Osimhen striker has been hit with a lawsuit by Mercedes-Benz over an alleged unpaid car lease dating back to his time in Italy.

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Italia S.p.A. filed a formal criminal complaint in Milan, accusing the 2023 CAF Player of the Year of failing to meet payment obligations tied to a luxury vehicle.

The case centers on a Mercedes GLE that Osimhen reportedly leased in 2023 while playing for SSC Napoli.

According to the complaint, the 27-year-old allegedly missed several installment payments, resulting in arrears of about €90,000 (approximately ₦144 million). Company representatives also claim the vehicle was not returned after the lease expired.

The matter has been classified as “misappropriation.” As of now, neither Osimhen nor his legal team has publicly responded to the allegations.

The report has drawn attention given Osimhen’s substantial earnings. He was reportedly earning around €10 million per season in Italy before his 2024 move to Galatasaray, where his annual salary is said to exceed €18 million. Despite the legal issue, he recently featured in a victory over Fenerbahçe, scoring his first goal in over a month.

Known for his taste in luxury cars, Osimhen has often been seen driving a customized Mercedes-Benz G-Class in Naples and was recently spotted behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Revuelto during a visit to Lagos.
