Gunmen abducted two individuals, including the daughter of a High Court judge, in Maraba Gurgu community on the outskirts of Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The attack occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, when the assailants invaded the residence of the judge. The victims have been identified as Hauwa Anisa Shikaru, daughter of the Chief Judge of High Court 4, Maraba Gurgu, and Abdulkarim Ahmed Iliyasu.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the kidnappers swiftly stormed the house and whisked the victims away before security personnel and neighbours could intervene. A search party has since been mobilized to rescue the abductees and apprehend the perpetrators.
