Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye has said he is confident of defeating Bola Tinubu in a free and fair election.

Melaye made the statement during an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on the programme Mic On on Channels Television, where he criticised the current administration and expressed strong confidence in his electoral chances under a level playing field.

He argued that any presidential aspirant from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) would outperform Tinubu, insisting none could do worse.

According to him, he is personally ready to contest and win if the election process is credible. He also described the president as widely unpopular among Nigerians.

Melaye further called for a transparent electoral process, warning against any actions that could undermine democracy. He accused the president of not being fully committed to a fair contest and vowed that Nigerians would resist any attempt to subvert the electoral system.
