Lagos police have detained a suspected thug, 28-year-old Michael Desmond, for attempting to extort money from a motorist whose car had broken down. According to a statement from the command, the arrest was made after the distressed motorist reported the incident to the police. The suspect boldly claimed entitlement to what is colloquially known as “Owo Omo Taku.” While he was promptly apprehended, his accomplice managed to escape and is currently evading capture.
