A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kogi State, Usman Austin Okai, has said that it’s demeaning and disrespectful for a man to kneel to propose to a woman.
“Never raise a son to go on a knee for any woman to propose marriage,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
“And you as a lady, you are happy that a man is kneeling down before you. Which culture or religion? It’s unnatural, it’s demeaning and disrespectful.”
