A legal battle has arisen over the estate of late actor Michael Madsen, with authorities in Los Angeles County claiming he owed more than $1.2 million in unpaid child support to his ex-wife.
Court filings show that the Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department alleges Madsen owed $1,267,573.49 to Jeannine Bisignano, linked to obligations from their 1995 divorce settlement. The claim is also said to include a portion of payments from his Screen Actors Guild pension.
Madsen, known for his roles in Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, died in July 2025 after suffering cardiac arrest. Following his death, a dispute has emerged over who should administer his estate.
Bisignano is seeking control in order to recover the alleged outstanding payments. However, Madsen’s sons, Christian Madsen and Max Madsen, have filed a petition to take over management of the estate themselves.
A court hearing is expected to determine who will be granted authority, as the legal fight over the late actor’s finances continues.
