Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the man accused of forging government appointment letters and falsely presenting himself as the Director-General of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), has said he is not evading law enforcement but fears for his safety.
Speaking on Channels Television’s current affairs programme on Monday, July 13, Adeyemi denied going into hiding, insisting that concerns over his personal security were the reason for his absence from public view.
“I’m ready to show my face. I’m not hiding. I’m only fearing for my life because I have it on good authority that my life is in danger,” he said.
Adeyemi further claimed that there had been several attempts on his life but did not provide details or identify those allegedly responsible.
“There have been several attempts on my life,” he said, adding, “And I’m ready for that. There are several attempts to… my life.”
His comments come amid ongoing controversy over the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, which the Presidency has repeatedly maintained is not a recognised government agency.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force is set to arraign Adeyemi before the Federal High Court in Abuja on charges bordering on forgery, impersonation and other related offences.
According to the charge sheet marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, the police accused Adeyemi and two other defendants of committing eight offences, including forgery and impersonation.
Investigators also alleged that before his arrest, Adeyemi operated the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council from the second floor of the Federal Secretariat Complex, Phase III, Abuja.
