A cabin cleaner, Bala Zakari, has been commended for his honesty after returning $730 he found while cleaning a British Airways aircraft.
Zakari discovered a purse on seat 35K while cleaning British Airways Flight BA8382. The purse contained $730 in cash as well as several credit cards.
Upon finding the item, he immediately alerted the British Airways Cabin Services Duty Manager (CSDM). The purse and all its contents were subsequently handed over to the airline’s security team for safekeeping and to facilitate the appropriate procedures for returning it to its owner.
Zakari’s action has been widely praised as a remarkable display of integrity and professionalism.
