Billionaire’s daughter and DJ, Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, shared a valuable personal lesson on X, reflecting on a time when she misinterpreted calculated support as genuine kindness.
“A few years ago, I honestly thought someone was being kind to me,” she revealed. “They showed up, offered help, and made me feel supported. I assumed it was all coming from a good place… BUT later, they made it clear they expected something in return—an investment or, quite comically, an introduction to my dad.”
She admitted feeling “so stupid for not realizing it sooner” and encouraged others to be wary: “Learn from my experience… Not every act of support is as sincere as it seems!”
