Notorious Kidnapper Wasiu Oloyede Arrested in Ogun for Abducting Soldier

Wasiu Oloyede, a notorious leader of a kidnapping gang, was arrested by police in the Odo Pako area of Ota, Ogun State, on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

Oloyede’s gang had kidnapped a soldier in Alagbado, Lagos, on Friday, July 18, stealing the soldier’s uniform, ID card, ATM cards, and phone. Fortunately, the soldier managed to escape captivity.

Following the escape, Oloyede attempted to use the stolen uniform to impersonate the soldier and deceive a local Vigilante member in an effort to snatch his dane gun. However, the vigilante resisted, and Oloyede’s plan was thwarted, leading to his arrest by the police.
