Ondo Church Members Held Captive Regain Their Freedom Following Payment of N50 Million Ransom

The abducted members of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Igan, Akure, Ondo State, have regained their freedom several days after their initial kidnapping. Sources confirm that on Thursday evening, October 5, the victims were released upon the payment of a N50 million ransom by their families.

As a reminder, these individuals were abducted on Friday, September 29, while traveling to Ifon along the Benin-Akure Expressway, in the Elegbeka area of Ose Local Government Area. Subsequently, the kidnappers had demanded a N50 million ransom for their release. The victims were ultimately set free in the same Elegbeka area where they were initially taken captive last week.
