Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal has officially submitted a €70 million offer to Italian side Napoli for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed the development on Thursday via his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Al Hilal has submitted an official bid to Napoli for Victor Osimhen as their top target,” Romano wrote. “The proposal includes a €65 million fixed fee plus €5 million in add-ons. The decision now rests with Napoli.”
This follows an earlier report by Romano on Wednesday indicating that Al Hilal had already initiated contact with Osimhen regarding personal terms and salary. According to the report, Osimhen is open to the move, and Al Hilal is reportedly prepared to offer the Super Eagles star a staggering €30 million annual salary.
The club is also reportedly unconcerned about Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, suggesting that negotiations could progress swiftly if Napoli is willing to sell.
Osimhen, currently returning from a loan spell at Turkish champions Galatasaray, had an impressive season, scoring 25 goals and providing five assists in 29 appearances. The Nigerian international is expected to rejoin Napoli this summer, with two years remaining on his current contract, which runs until 2026.
