Security Operatives Arrest Suspected Kidnappers, Recover N2.2m in Plateau

The Executive Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, confirmed the arrest of suspected kidnappers and the recovery of N2,250,000 in a statement issued on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The statement was signed by Danaan Cletus Sylvanus, his Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

Manship expressed his administration’s continued commitment to improving security in the region, a pledge that was underscored during a high-level security operation at the Koprume Barracks in Qua’an Pan. During this operation, security forces successfully apprehended the kidnappers and recovered the ransom money.

The investigation revealed that the victim, Muhammadu Sani Juli, had a troubling connection to the kidnappers, illustrating the complexities of the security issues facing the community.

The statement also highlighted the professionalism of the security agencies in recovering the ransom and arresting the suspects.

In a related incident, security operatives arrested a suspect involved in attacking travelers along Juku Road in Nasarawa State. The suspect admitted that their operations were carried out using AK-47 rifles.

Chairman Manship called on the security agencies to step up their efforts in apprehending kidnappers and robbers operating in the area.
