Singer’s Father Claims He Spent N16 Million on Mohbad’s Second Autopsy

Joseph Aloba, the father of late singer Mohbad, has revealed that he paid a pathologist ₦16 million for his son’s second autopsy.

In a TikTok live session, Aloba stated, “With all sincerity, I paid the first ₦16 million to the pathologist. After that, I spent almost ₦2 million more. If the pathologist denies my claim, then don’t believe me anymore. Some people have said it was ₦12 million, but I’m still telling you it was ₦16 million.”

This statement comes a month after an independent autopsy and forensic review conducted by Dr. Uwom Eze failed to determine the cause of Mohbad’s death.

In June 2024, a magistrate from the Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, authorized the hiring of a licensed pathologist for the follow-up examination.
