Simon Fuller, the creator of *American Idol*, is heading for divorce after his wife, Natalie Fuller, filed to end their 16-year marriage. The divorce petition, filed on Friday, May 9, cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, with the couple listing that same day as their official date of separation.
Married since May 2008, the Fullers share three children—a 14-year-old and 9-year-old twins. In her filing, Natalie is requesting joint legal custody of the children, along with spousal support. She is also asking the court to deny Simon any spousal support.
According to reports, the couple has a prenuptial agreement in place. Simon Fuller’s representatives have yet to comment on the situation.
