The Super Eagles of Nigeria sealed a place in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with a commanding 4–0 victory over Mozambique on Monday night at the Fez Stadium.

Ademola Lookman opened the scoring in the 20th minute, finishing from a square pass by Akor Adams. Victor Osimhen then doubled Nigeria’s advantage before halftime.

Osimhen struck again almost immediately after the restart, completing his brace with another assist from Lookman. Akor Adams capped the dominant performance with a powerful strike from inside the box to make it four.

The emphatic win also saw Nigeria set a new record, marking the first time the Super Eagles have won their opening four matches at an AFCON tournament.

Nigeria will now face either Algeria or DR Congo in the quarter-final on Saturday.
