Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11.

The 26-player shortlist for the global award was announced on Monday, with nominees chosen through votes cast by professional footballers worldwide.

Alozie’s nomination caps off a remarkable year in which she played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s impressive run at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

The Houston Dash right-back was one of the standout performers of the tournament, scoring the decisive goal in the Super Falcons’ semi-final victory over South Africa. Her exceptional performances earned her a spot in the WAFCON Team of the Tournament.

She joins a star-studded list of defenders vying for the honour, including Ona Batlle, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Olga Carmona, Ellie Carpenter, Alex Greenwood, and Leah Williamson.

The final FIFPRO Women’s World XI will be announced on Monday, November 3, 2025.
