The Tesano Divisional Police Command is investigating the death of 33-year-old Enoch Abrokwa, who was allegedly stabbed by his 19-year-old girlfriend, Emmanuella Asante, following a misunderstanding at Ofankor Barrier in Accra.

According to the Ghana Police Service, preliminary investigations indicate that the incident occurred on Friday, October 9, when a disagreement reportedly broke out between the couple at the deceased’s business premises. The argument allegedly escalated, with the suspect said to have stabbed Abrokwa in the chest with a piece of broken glass.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he underwent surgery for a deep wound that affected his intestines. He, however, died on October 14 while receiving medical treatment.

Police said Asante was arrested on October 10 after she was brought to the police station by the complainant and three other individuals. She reportedly admitted to stabbing Abrokwa and has remained in police custody as investigations continue.

The accused was subsequently arraigned before the court and remanded into police custody. She is expected to reappear in court on November 3, 2026.
