A 41-year-old woman, Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, was discovered dead in a suspected suicide inside the auditorium of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Prayer City, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the incident occurred on the morning of Friday, July 18, 2025, and was first brought to attention by the church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere.
Ekikere received a distress call at approximately 7:20 a.m. reporting an unidentified woman lying motionless on the floor inside the auditorium. Upon arrival, he found the woman unresponsive, with an empty bottle of a suspected poisonous substance—identified as “Sniper”—beside her.
Police promptly visited the scene, took photographs for documentation, and the body was subsequently taken to Real Divine Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, while reaching out to those who knew the deceased for further information.
