AFC Wimbledon forward Osman Foyo has been handed a suspension and fine after admitting to 252 breaches of the Football Association’s (FA) betting regulations.

The 21-year-old Dutch striker received a five-month ban from all football and football-related activity, with one month to be served immediately and the remaining four months suspended until April 2, 2027—pending no further violations. Foyo has also been fined £1,000.

The suspension means he will be unavailable for selection until November 2, 2025, missing at least three League Two fixtures.

According to the FA, Foyo placed the bets between October 29, 2023, and March 28, 2025. The disciplinary outcome was confirmed in an official statement released on Foyo’s 21st birthday.

“An independent Regulatory Commission has sanctioned AFC Wimbledon’s Osman Foyo for breaches of The FA’s betting rules,” the statement read.

“It was alleged that the player breached FA Rule E8 252 times by placing bets on football matches… and Osman Foyo subsequently admitted the charge.”

Foyo joined AFC Wimbledon from Ipswich Town in January and has made eight appearances for the League Two side since his arrival.
