Nigerian singer Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, has criticised fans who display awkward or overly excited behaviour when they meet celebrities.
The “Zanku” crooner shared his thoughts on X, commenting on the tendency of some fans to become excessively starstruck and behave unusually when they encounter public figures.
Zlatan suggested that having a celebrity within one’s family could help people become more comfortable around fame and avoid what he described as embarrassing behaviour during such encounters.
The father of one expressed his wish that people who struggle to contain their excitement around celebrities had at least one famous person in their households, which he believes would help normalise the experience of interacting with public figures.
He shared his thoughts in a post on his X handle.
